The term Funk Styles was coined by legendary Poppin Pete of the Electric Boogaloos. This is an umbrella term used to describe the street dance styles that sprung forth during the Funk era (Late 60’s – 80’s) from California. The focus of this event is to bring a conglomerate of dancers together, from various generations and demographical locations, to explore these incredible dance sciences and the type of music that unites us all.
